The canvas, my muse

Too hard to please

What attitude!

I try and try to make her glee.

Failure after failure, my art’s my bully.

I no longer know how to paint

So that she once holds back and believes,

I could create wonders for her

Raging wonders, indeed.

She snorts, in supercilious agony

Her mockery, my sin.

Her perfection, my glory,

I can finally see.
